The LC Duplex Switchable Connector (uniboot) features a housing that can be disassembled in the field without the requirement of any special tooling. This particular duplex LC connector enables the fiber polarity to be switched during the cable assembly installation process, eliminating the necessity to re-terminate the connectors.
Its single piece design is compatible with all duplex and simplex adapters. By utilizing a single cable containing two fibers, installers have the ability to reduce both the cable count and weight by half. This design is frequently employed in data centers where there is a high volume of cables and limited space available.
